Follow a diverse cast of characters from the neighborhood as their lives intersect in Lowery Plaza. They tell their stories through speech and through songs pulsing with the rhythms of the city. This is a music-theatre work that unfolds amid the hustle-bustle of everyday life in the plaza. Passers-by can watch a snippet or the whole piece. Either way, they’ll witness an exciting blend of rhythms, music and text—all paying tribute to a vibrant community and its people.
A short play imagining the lives of the ghosts in the machine.
"Clickbait takes the concept of interactive theater and turns it on its head – instead of physically jumping into the action, à la Sleep No More and similar pieces, the audience interacts the way that we interact today, via the World Wide Web." -Alexandra Ley, Stage Buddy
"The premise of Clickbait, written and directed by David M. deLeon and Esther Ko, is as fascinating as it is heartbreaking. The play brings you into a world that feels like both a parody of this generation's obsession with technology and a completely faithful depiction of it. From the plots centering around Twitter wars and Tinder complications to the fact that you're on your phone the entire performance, this is a new sort of play." -Natalie Sacks, CHARGED.fm
